See, kids, enemies are friends.

The innkeeper isn't being attacked by monsters. We are the monsters!

The villagers saw all of us launched onto a volcano that's inhabited by a dragon. When we show up in town again, they assume we died. The eruption wasn't us killing anything but, rather, the prophecy coming true. I think Justin manages to convince them we killed the threat, but you can't be too sure. Regardless, we need a ride to the Twin Towers, but let's speak to the Chief first. He's excited we didn't die, so he throws us a party. He declares that Justin and Feena will forever be known in the village. Sue and GADwin (not Godwin) also get some special treatment. The party proceeds to eat too much. Sue and Godwin (I'm gonna keep calling him Godwin) head to bed, and Justin and Feena stay awhile. Feena makes coy remarks about being a couple, and the two of them head outside. They make their way over to an isolated sandbar, where they spend some quality time together. Feena says how amazing this adventure has been and how great traveling with Justin is. They two lay down next to each other, and then we see a white light flash before them. It's another spirit. Feena looks off over the water and sees a million of them over the ocean. Both agree that it's a beautiful sight.

The next day, the whole party sits down for supper. Godwin tells us how strange it is to see one spirit, let alone so many three times now. Afterwards, we continue with finding a way to the Twin Towers. Head to the beach and find Danda next to Naina, the love of his life. Because the two are inseparable now, she tags along when he gives us a ride to our destination. When we reach the beach next to the towers, Danda tells us only the north gate can be used for passage, and the two Gumbonians stay back.

They bang.

As soon as we get near the towers, we see we're not alone. Garlyle tanks are all around the place. The party questions how they could have gotten over the wall, but it's pretty empty now. Our plans don't change. We can now make for the entrance of the place. The only mobs around the towers are Medusa Dancers. I wanted to level up some magic here, but they have a spell that blocks all magic for the entire party. They seem to resist magic, so it doesn't make sense. Try to kill them as fast as possible before they make it hard to heal any damage they do. They can also steal your HP, so these scantly clad mobs can be a terrible thing to fight. There are not one, not two, but three mazes here. You only need to do the north maze (for now), but there's stuff in the east one that makes it worth doing. When you get to the maze, you have to activate two switches to open the path forward. It's all more tedious than difficult.

Once we get close to the Twin Towers, we see two military personnel waiting. They ask us who we are and if we're the guides. I told them we are, and they let us pass. I don't know if you can go hostile. Sue almost blows it, but we have free access to the tower. As we're about to enter it, the three commanders exit. They swear revenge on Justin, still upset over the half day train ride, and we can enter. There's one room here, but there are no exits. The one hallway leads to a dead end, and the strange thing in the middle is just decor. With no choice but to leave...in comes Mullen and Leen. They're both shocked to see us, and Justin regals them of how we climbed the End of the World. Mullen is pleased that we did such a thing. He seems genuine, so I'm getting mixed signals from this guy. After the reunion, Mullen demands the Spirit Stone. Justin won't let him have it, and Godwin joins us for the next bit. The two of them rush the General but are easily dispatched. Godwin is messed up, and he'll stay knocked out for a while. Justin prepares to attack again until his pants start to glow. The thing on the floor activates, and Justin, Feena, Mullen, and Leen are teleported somewhere. Sue is worried, but she hangs back with the dead Godwin.

Feena is alone in a room until Mullen walks towards her. He's cordial at the moment and even helps Feena with her magically occurring sprained ankle. Besides them, this room also contains a mural representing the Icarians and a Spirit Stone. Mullens says to keep moving as the exit is at the top of the tower. One of the commanders told him that, but I don't know how she'd know that if we have the only way into here? Throughout this scene and the coming others, Mullen compares Feena to Leen. It's a fair comparison, them being sisters and whatnot, but I get the creeps.
We cut to Justin, alone in a room filled with stairs and evil porcupines. He makes his way through it until we see Leen corned by three of them. I really hope she has a phobia because these things are super easy to kill. Justin fights them off, and Leen is annoyed. Why would he help an enemy? The two bicker over Leen's obsession with the Spirit Stone until Justin ends it by just giving it to her. Suddenly, we're surrounded by more porcupines! Leen gives up her hatred, and the two runoff. They don't run long because the floor falls from under them. They fall into some water and, since this is a video game where water physics don't work, they're all right. They're wet, so they make a fire to dry off.
The camera then cuts back to Feena and Mullen looking at a statute of an Icarian. Its wings seem to come from a second set of arms, which is how the otherworldly race depicts itself. Mullen continues to inform us about the relationship between Icarians, the Spirits, and humans. The first two could communicate, but one day the spirits stopped."Certain mistakes were made."
In the same room as those two are Justin and Leen. They're dry-ish now, so they make their way upwards, out of the tower. They get to the same statue, and Justin is as amazed as Feena was. Leen is slightly less helpful, though.
In the next room are Justin and Leen looking at more paintings. This one depicts an Icarian dying in a storm. In the center of the lightning bolts is a strangely shaped eye. Justin wonders why it's so sad, being from a perfect civilization, and Leen questions if they actually were as such.
We cut again to Feena and Mullen looking at the same pointing. After a similar conversation, Mullen reveals his mother was a humanoid, presumably,  forced to marry Baal for some ancient secrets. He also makes us think that it was humans using the Spirit Stone that took down the Icarians.
Justin and Leen are in front of a glowing light source, similar to what we saw in Sult and Dom. So similar, in fact, that Liete appears before them. We see more scenes from the Icarian civilization, and Liete tells us to keep going east. We're close.
Justin and Leen are at the exit, and Leen teleports them out. Mullen taught her the secret to using Magic Circles. They're out of the towers and in the south maze. Leen tells Justin that they never saw each other. She also warns us not to go to any more Icarian ruins. Or at least avoid the military. As she goes to leave, she turns around and hands Justin back the Spirit Stone. She rethinks sacrifice, but what does that mean?

We regain control of Justin and make our way through the maze. We're in the south portion now. In time, Feena catches up. As we leave, Sue and Godwin appear. Godwin isn't dead, which is nice. We can now head back to Gumbo. When we arrive, Sue falls down. She says she's hungry, so, I assume, we get something to eat before we head back to Dight. We asked Danda for a ride east, but the Mermaid Sea is active this time of year. Mermaids kill people in this universe, so we really should avoid that place. Back in Dight, we talk to the Chief to see if he knows anything. Sue falls down again, but no one can see her. He tells us of The Mysteriously Vanishing Hill and mentions teleportation. So that's our destination! As we leave the Chief's house, Sue collapses again. This time, though, she doesn't get up. We take her to Alma, who says Sue is exhausted. She prescribes bed rest "until the next full moon," which means Sue isn't coming with us. Justin thinks about delaying the mission because he doesn't want to leave "a child" alone in a strange place. Being called a child upsets Sue, and she starts yelling at her friend. She doesn't want to be treated like a kid, so she wants everyone to carry on without her. This is enough to sway Justin, so I'll be looking into teleportation...

...tomorrow!

Why is it called the Twin Towers if there is only one?
