The second half of this dungeon feels a lot more winding than the first, but it's not. Past the Mana Egg is an elevator down. Don't use it yet. Beyond that are several treasures, a few of which are hidden. I could see the screen tearing, indicating where a room would be. Check one of the secret rooms for a secret room, and then check that secret room for a secreter room, as well. Off one of the main paths are two jail cells filled with Dom Orcs. The switch is in the middle, and it opens up new armor and money. When you're done, head down the elevator and use the Save Point.
In the room after the Save Point is the boss of the Dom Ruins, Ganymede. It's a mega shellfish! You can attack the shell, or you can attack the head. Both share HP, and AoE magic attacks don't hit twice. I don't understand why it needed to be two targets. Regardless, it functions similar to the Squid King fight, where the shell will try to drag the party close together and then hit everyone with a Rush attack. I only got hit once. It seemed to be weak to Earth (Tremor) and Ice (Crackle), but Justin's V-Slash did plenty of damage. Ganymede's DPS is terrible, and its 1000 HP melts. Am I over leveled?
Gany was protecting the Inner Sanctum of Dom Ruins. Inside this room is another shining light that makes Sue and Justin remember Sult. Justin will bring up, presumably, the Spirit Stone, to Feena's surprise, and Liete appears before us again. Justin asks her where Alent is, and she gives us more information about the Angelou. They once ruled the entire world and even had the ability to build cities in the air. But I'm wondering how they felll. She'll end this conversation by telling us to keep traveling east. Justin mentions the End of the World, and Liete tells us there is no end. Alent is on the otherside of the giant wall. Liete leaves shortly afterwards, and the party makes its way out of the ruins.
Feena is unsure how they'll climb the giant wall, but Justin has blind faith and knows they'll find a way. Sue gets annoyed that Justin has no plan, but how could he? As they leave the vestibule portion of the ruins and enter the forest, they spot a wounded child lying before them. He's hurt bad and bleeding heavily. They bring him back to consciousness for a moment, and the boy uses this time to scratch and bite Justin. The sounds the boy makes during this are written with random symbols, indicating he's speaking in a language no one speaks. The boy passes out again shortly after, and Feena doesn't have the heart to leave him here to die. She asks Justin to help him up, and the three carry him back to Feena's house. As they leave, the screen goes red, and three Garlyle Commanders appear, flanked by Final Fantasy VI Magitech. They remark that their pray has gone missing and say more personal stuff I didn't really get. The boy is very important to why they're here, so they bring out the hounds to track him. We cut to Feena's house, where Justin has put the kid to bed. Feena's applied some stuff to him that SHOULD be helping, but his wound is too deep and may have become infected. She suggests we search for sulfur weed in the mountain path behind her house, and we'll do that...
...tomorrow!
I had a hard time finding everything in Dom tonight. Getting back in there, trying to open the cages, and searching for all the treasure really took my time. But I got everything, and I gained a few new spells in the process. I fear the battle system may be really grindy when it comes to magic, but it's pretty doable right now. I wonder how EXP is calculated?
