So...it turns out Gadwin lives on the third screen of this terrible dungeon...
Make your way through the final two but remember to explore everything. There is a Strength Up seed and a Mana Egg in here. The mobs are the same things we've been fighting but watch out for the golems. They seem to only take damage from swords and are immune to magic. Also, watch out for the man eating trap plants. Eventually, you'll come to the world map for the first time in five hours. The only place to go is Dight Village!
When we get there, Gadwin tells us the looming clouds look bad. He runs off to talk to the Elder, and we can explore the town. Everyone is really bummed out. The citizens tell us the ocean has been poisoned, and it's killing the fish. Illness runs rampant because of something called the Typhoon Tower, and everyone is afraid of rain. I thought this was supposed to be paradise? Upgrade your equipment and head to the Elder's Hut in the middle of town. I had a hard time finding it, somehow. I learned some local lore about whales and spoke to Alma again, though. Gadwin will tell us to wait for him in the inn, so return there to rest. Talk to the strange rabbit in the back first, though. I get the feeling we'll be seeing him a lot soon. Not only is he letting on more than he tells us, but he's voice acted.
In the morning, Gadwin tells us he fears the coming storm. Feena tells him it's already raiding, so we all rush outside to confirm. This rain is poisoned and will kill everyone and everything it touches. It's regular rain now, but it'll turn bad in time, so there's still time to fix everything. We then head to the beach, where the Elder is waiting. The Elder tells Gadwin he needs to go to the Typhoon Tower and pick up a spear, as the legend states. Gadwin wonders who the second hero is, but the Elder has no one in mind. Luckily, Justin is around! Following through on the man-to-man promise he made with Gadwin last night, Justin volunteers to be the second hero of this story. The thrill of adventure, I'm sure, is a secondary concern. Feena becomes furious when he throws himself in. She asks him how he can do something so reckless, which, considering we just climbed a 100 story wall, seems a little late to ask that, Feena. Justin tells her we have no choice, or we'll die anyway. Which is also true. The Elder accepts, and it's off to Typhoon Mountain!
The entire area is filled with poisoned water that drains your HP incredibly fast. It's the most dangerous thing we've encountered so far. The only monster I fought was Mold Spores that infect a character with Virus. I don't know what it does, but it's 2021, so I'm a bit scared of viruses these days. Near the end of the second screen, Gadwin tells us the poison is starting to fall. Justin suggests we hurry, and Feena gets mad again. She tells us she has a bad feeling, which she did on the Ghost Ship, so something's up. Regardless, we can't turn back, so it's onward. I was running late, so I made a B-line to the tower. On the first floor is the night's second Mana Egg. I returned to Dight and taught Sue Wind Magic and Feena Water Magic. While there, I saved and called it a night.
Will we save the world? Find out tomorrow!
I hate that stupid Dragon Valley dungeon. There weren't even dragons in it. Does that mean Gadwin is good at his job? Also, his special move doesn't do 9999 damage like it did to Justin...
