Jeremi is a town of two halves now. Most of the people are thrilled and happy to finally be free. The other half, who are cooped up in the bar, are struggling with survivor's guilt. They all lost someone dear to them in the last decade. The piano player asked us if she had done something bad. The bar is kinda hidden, and I didn't visit it last night, so I must have missed an interesting scene.
When the party left the tower, they were mobbed by sexy fans. A couple of creepers hit on Noa. The mayor, somehow, broke up the group, and we spent the night at the inn. The party can now sleep here for free. Explore the town, scream at them for their exorbitantly priced gear, and find Zalan. He's missing his wife and child because they went to Vidna just before the world ended. He wants to reconnect, but the mist is still around Vidna, so he can't go. He writes a letter and asks if we can find Yuma or Pepe. Pepe is just north of the hot springs, and he lives alone. Yuma fell ill three years ago and died from it. Pepe is glad his father, Fat Fingers, is still alive and asks us to return Yuma's ring. Doing so makes Zalan sad because his wife died, but he's still glad their son is doing well. They can't reconnect yet, but Zalan becomes a jeweler for us, but I didn't check if he was useful now.
It's time to find Hari in Octum! But I didn't do that either. Everything in this game is stupidly expensive, and bosses are kicking my butt. I took the time to explore the archipelago and found a city cut off by a lava river beneath the town. Some monsters reward 500 exp and gold on defeat around there, so I spent time grinding. I still don't have enough, but I'm moving on...
Rem Temple tomorrow...
