Lloyd is identified with his silver-colored hair, and I suspect we’ll be following him for a while. That’s probably where this chapter's title comes from. Due to getting started late, PC/Windows troubles, and pre-election night drama, I didn’t get much play in tonight. I think I set up the underplot, though.
The camera shot is of a town with a small stream flowing through it. Lloyd teleports in, does an ominous thing, and teleports away. I assume it’s a metaphorical thing, as the party follows shortly behind. We’re in the city of Fletz, known for its Duel Castles if the overworld pop-up is to he believed. Rather than explore, I immediately return to Serdio to find the last two Stardust. After returning to Kazas and Bale to find them, I discover that Martel, the dust guy, is gone. I stop by to see Lavitz’ mom, who only wishes her son was still alive. The family line has ended. There are two random people wanting to be her family, but who are they? There’s no kid, but are they the family we met in the Plains? I also stop by Seles to see Shana’s parents. They just returned from wherever they were, and they wish us luck. It’s nice there’s a scene, but wow, is it meaningless.
Returning to Flets, I take note that the Tiberoa music is my new favorite music and explore the town. As we cross the bridge, the team splits up for a moment. Dart notices that the bridge is called Clare Bridge, the same name as his mom. Haschel says his missing daughter has the same name, and the two wonder if they’re the same person. Albert turns into a nerd and starts sprouting population percentages and name stats. He knows that Clare is a name to 4% of the 550000 women in Endiness. He then says Dart and Haschel don’t look alike based on cranium stuff and NERD!!!!!!!
We then wander around some more looking for a weapon shop I can’t find. Instead, we come to an outside foyer thingy where one of the ruling princesses comes down from her tower and mingles. She’s a mean person, and no one likes here. Emilie was a kind and loving girl until six months ago when she suddenly changed into the arrogant and rude brat she is now. She has a similar backstory to Dole, so I (personally) suspect Lloyd is involved. After this, we walk around more, buying what we need, taking note of the locked doors, and stumbling upon an empty tavern.
There’s a woman named Kaffi who talks our ear off about the stars. This city is dedicated to astronomy and astrology, so I'm thrilled about being here. She talks to us until nightfall and mentions the astronomer, Fester, who lives next door. We go speak with him, and he tells us the story of the Moon That Never Sets. It’s a moon in locked rotation over Endiness. Every 108 years, it glows red, and the Black Monster appears. Sadly, astronomy doesn’t pay the bills. Fester also works for Princess Lisa, the other young leader of the town/country, and rushes off to her. He tells us to look at the telescope, aimed at the moon, and we so. It looks like a blue planet with blue energy flowing on it.
Also, sadly, I ran out of time. Exploring took a while, and I was working on an election thing. Trump/Biden...need I say more? I’m not gonna post a giant political blob in the middle of a game, so don’t worry. If only I haden't started this playthrough! ;) Stay safe, stay healthy, go vote. <3
