Your kiss is...far away...

It wasn’t much, but I’m glad I finished this tonight instead of tomorrow.

The party walks north from the save point and crossed a bridge to another door. Fun fact, you can walk in the water under the bridge. It hurts you, but you can, and that's the real fun in life. The room afterwards has four separate exits. Before we go on, we hear a voice. It’s Irvine Valeria. He seems shocked that we’re here but remains true to his plan. He tells us that the plan wasn't perfect, though, as the vessel couldn't contain all of the world. The only way to destroy it now is if it’s all laid to waste at the same time. This means splitting up the party into four.

For the smaller bosses, The Roots, we’ll need to send one character at them for a one-on-one fight while the main party takes on the body. So if you’ve neglected your secondary characters, I have some bad news. Fortunately, I trained them JUST well enough. Also, it turns out Tim isn’t my weakest character after all. I have a new found respect for the pre-teen.

Tim, Kanon, and Marievl went in alone. Tim had no problem with his target as he has magic and healing on his side.
Kanon has damage but no way to heal. I used a good portion of my Big and Mega Berries on her, but I managed to win.
Marievl, having neither damage nor healing, was a big concern. She can use HP Drain to get about 800 HP back, but that hardly negates the damage received. The only good way I managed to make her do some DPS was to use her golem special. In between healing and draining, use her level 1 attack. Heal whenever you’re below 2000 HP, and you should be fine. I ended up equipping this game’s Ribbon to Marivel, which I’m about to regret.

The main party walks up to see the Valerias one more time. Irving answers why he funded Odessa: to make everyone unite against them. Without them, the three nations wouldn’t have acted against the Kupier Belt, the encroaching universe. Light then erupts from Altaecia, the vessel, and we end this.

Next up is the Kupier Belt itself. It has three targets, four attacks, and one tedious strategy. You see, the damage this encroaching world can do is pathetic. It did three damage to Lillia at one point. Keep your HP above 2000 again, and you’ll be fine. But this thing loves using a move that can hit you with every status effect. And it affects the whole team! And it can cast that move six times in a roll and eight out of eleven turns! Focus on keeping Illia alive, so she can cast Remedy. I had nearly thirty War Respites going into this fight and finished with twelve. Fortunately, Ashley and Brad never hit Illia. It isn’t hard, just tedious, which is the worst thing a game can be. It was so bad that I think I legitimately hate this game after this fight.

All six characters return to the fork, but no one seems happy. Tim is, but Ashley simply says the job is done. And then he explodes!

For some reason, he’s on the moon with Argetlham stuck in it. Lord Blazer is talking to him, thanking Ashley for all the negative emotions he’s been feeding him, which allowed him to grow strong. Ashley then walks to the sword and, with the power of friendship, pulls it out. He transforms one more time, and we do battle with the true final boss.

There are two ways of doing this. You can either attack normally until the end of time, healing every few turns. I think this would work... The other is to use Impulse, his level one special attack. It deals damage based on the power of friendship. Each time you cast it, a scene is shown where friends of the group offer their prayers. First up is Anastasia, herself, telling us about the attack. Next is Sieljie, Meria, T’Bok, and Marina. They talk about friendship, but Mellie is quite poignant with her line, “If anyone can be a hero, then everyone should be a hero." Millie’s going places, yo. After the fourth time, you deal 99999 damage, and Lord Blazer dies. Just remember to heal. I assume, you can still lose this fight. Also, why did Ashley transform into Anastacia?

Ashley returns to Glave la Gable, and the party returns home for the closing scenes. It’s mostly just to put a ribbed on their respective themes.

Tim finally feels relieved when we hears Colette and everyone laughing.
Kanon talks about the death of Irving and Altaecia. She discusses their sins and atonement.
Brad is building a house with everyone in T’Bok.
Marivel talks about how odd humans are.
Everyone says farewell, for some reason, at a crossroads.
Ashley kisses Marina, who responds with the really odd line I used for the title of todays entry. I wonder if the translation was bad?

The credits roll as we see still images of the party's next life.
Ashley is a baker.
Brad is hunting/logging.
Illia is sleeping at her desk.
Tim is a farmer.
Marievl has a simp holding her umbrella while her golem causes havoc in the background.
Kanon just beat up a bunch of dudes at a bar and is having a drink to celebrate.
The last image is a picture of Irving and Altaecia.

One year later and everyone is at the gravesite of the Valerias. The Argelhalm is the marker, and someone wonders if it’s alright to use a legendary sword as such. It’s fine. Ashley and Maria show up late because the two of them had twins recently. Illia asks their names, and Ashley says how embarrassing it is to tell them. There’s some shpeal about how nice their names are, but we’re never told them. Or maybe we were? I was too creeped out by everyone's synchronized blinking. Regardless...

...The Words “The End” appear on screen, and we’re asked to save our data one last time.

Moratorium tomorrow!
