Free LC!!!!
We left the city of Crystalis because our ferry needs to take us back around the world again. But Paulina isn't there. Ardo must have retaken command of all watchers and not just JKR. So how do we travel now? The teams finds something shiny to the east, and they're greeted by a wondrous sight. The dragon Krysta hatched from the Millennium Rock in Cinder descends from the heavens. To further emphasize that Krysta and Crisbell are the same person in nature, the dragon recognizes that she's its new master.
The world map appears in the corner of the screen, and this world is huge. It's also empty... The three landmasses we need to return to are around Crystalis in the middle. The order doesn't matter, and all four allies join uneventfully. Maybe there's more to see, but I didn't explore much. Head back to the cathedral in Crystalis, and everyone is waiting for us.
The experts ponder, wonder, and poke around the Rena artifacts until Adri answers all the questions. All the doors that are around the room are actually exits. We need to open them to unlock wherever Ardo is. And the entrances to the rooms the doors block are the ruins across the world. So we'll have to return to places we've already been... Ugh.
Before leaving, Adri gains a new side quest. Another door in the room is open, and it takes us to a control panel. Adri activates some stuff, and the camera cuts to the world map. A new landmass has appeared to the north of us. And a power that rivals Ardo is hiding in it. June gives us a plant for some reason, and I explore the new continent. This is when Adri joins the team as an active member! She deploys turrets that function similarly to Wilhelm's plants. except you need to time shift them to work. Both Adri and the new dungeon are a part of the free DLC that came out shortly after the game's release.
I went up to Kestora and figured out the puzzle. The entire thing is based on stuff we've already done but with a twist. Every gimmick is tied to a statue's face. Depending on what statue is active, it will have a different effect on the environment. We can change the face by using our stasis powers, but the faces we can change to are dependent on a nearby mural. We can also move that around because we'll need to use multiple statue faces per puzzle, but we only have access to three at one time.
The enemies are weird single cell organisms and two new types of golems. None of them are tough, but I got confused anyway.
At the end is Alexandre, the Fifth Witness. He kicked my butt, so I retreated. I'll try again after a few levels or when I understand how to use Kari or Adri more.
And that was my night. How was yours? We'll be more productive...
...tomorrow!
There's also a colosseum accessible from our traveling merchant friend in the Crystalis ruins. I didn't try it, but I will later. It unlocks a new weapon upgrade for Crisbell, but I have my doubts I can win now.
