Back to Forever Home!

We're back with Forever Home for RPGMaker November. I don't know why I'm doing this, but I am.

I took some time to remind myself of the story from a while ago. We're Xero, and we have an adoptive sister named Enda. Our father is a man named Garin, a famed warrior for our country. Speaking of our country, we've been at war for decades against our overlords from across the sea, Tren. One night, while Xero and Enda were at The Spot, a group attacked our village. Xero fought his way through the burning wreckage of his home and found his mother dead. He was pulled out of the burning building by a man who he felt he needed to fight. That was was Slash. Slash won. We woke up at the house of an old man far from the village. Xero and Enda joined Slash as they made their way through a cave, learning about field skills and player advancement. All of this happened after a strange scene where we were in a space station, went into a war zone, and were betrayed. Then the screen shook, and now we're here!

And now we're back to the present! I walked around the town of Jera, but there's not much here. It's a resort town that's pretty much been taken over by the army. We need to keep heading north to Blaze HQ. When we arrive, Slash takes us to his room and tells us not to wander. Without missing a beat, the unmannered Enda makes us explore. There's an apple in our dad's room, and we talk to the million people in the building. There's not much here, but we can find the last piece needed to craft a new armor. Monsen. a dude from our hometown, is also here, along with his robots. So we're not the only survivors! There's also a training yard in the back that we can use to gain more combat know-how. I pretty much ignored it, though. We should return to the entry hall and head right.

We'll interrupt a strategy meeting and feel the air grow tense. The guy told us we could enter, though. Slash is talking to the bossman about war plans and our plight. We miss all the important bits, but we hear that our enemies may have entered the lands because of a traitor in our midst. Until we find that, Slash will need to shore up defenses. He's to be sent south, but we're not allowed to go with him. We're told to spend the night in Slash's room and await further details. Much to Xero and Enda's chagrin, they have to share a bed.

In the morning, they're awoken by an over jubilant red haired girl named Clare. She tells us we're to head to the Slant Cave to the east and meet up with our liaison. We head straight there and see a red haired man. This is Burns, and he's edgy. Either that or he, as a monk, has taken a vow of silence. His field skill is called Shockwave, which sends a burst of energy forwards that breaks rocks in our path. From here, we go in, but I couldn't get far.

I don't know if my game crashed or if my controller broke. Rockcandy is a garbage tier controller manufacturer, so I'm going with that. Either way, I had to call it here. But at least we'll get right into the action tomorrow. Sorry this was the first honest update in three weeks, and it ends like this, but technical difficulties happen.
